THE 8th EASTERN EUROPEAN CONFERENCE OF MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS (EECME 2026)

TITLE: AI, Law, and the Future of Management: Building Responsible and Competitive Organizations

The conference will be held as a hybrid meeting on Thursday, May 21st 2026, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. EECME 2026 is a peer-reviewed international scientific conference that offers a global platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange ideas and address the most pressing challenges shaping today’s business and economic landscape.

The International Standard Serial Number ISSN 2712-2522 is assigned to the EECME Conference website.

The EECME 2026 conference will explore the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on organizations, economies, and legal systems. As AI continues to redefine productivity, creativity, and decision-making, it raises essential questions regarding ethics, regulation, accountability, and human values in the business environment. By bringing together insights from economics, management, business law, and digital innovation, the conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue at the intersection of technology and humanity.

Conference Objectives

  • To explore how AI transforms business models, management strategies, and market dynamics.
  • To discuss the legal and ethical frameworks guiding responsible AI use.
  • To analyze the economic, social, and policy implications of AI-driven transformation.
  • To encourage multidisciplinary approaches to innovation, digitalization, and governance.

  6. Student Section (MA/PhD students and potentially BA students with poster presentations related to any of the topics 1-5)

The official languages of the conference are English and Slovenian

Participation in the 8th EECME conference is free of charge, with no attendance or registration fees.

All participants — including presenters and attendees without papers — must complete their registration by May 15, 2026.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Authors are invited to submit abstracts aligned with the conference topics no later than February 8, 2026.

Abstracts (100–150 words) should clearly outline the paper’s topic, purpose, and methodology. Detailed instructions and the submission form are available at the link below:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Authors may choose to have their full articles published in the EECME Conference Proceedings or in indexed journals without delivering an active presentation.
- For those presenting in English, a minimum B2 language proficiency level is required.
- If a participant commits to giving an active presentation but fails to do so without a justified prior excuse, they will not receive a Certificate of Attendance, and the editors may decide to exclude their paper from publication in the EECME materials.

 

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS – FULL ARTICLES

As part of the submission process, authors must ensure that their articles comply with all provided guidelines. Articles that do not follow the EECME instructions and article template will be returned to the authors for revision.

Full articles must be submitted via email to: eecme@b2.eu.

All submitted articles will undergo a peer-review process conducted by experts in the respective research field. Peer reviewers will provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work and to assist editors in determining the suitability of articles for publication in EECME publications/journals.

Authors will be notified of the review results and receive reviewer comments via email no later than May 15, 2026 (Notification of Acceptance).

  • Final articles, including revisions based on reviewer feedback, must be resubmitted to eecme@b2.eu no later than June 1, 2026.
    · Authors are responsible for thoroughly proofreading their final articles prior to submission and ensuring that the work is completely free of plagiarism.
    · Authors are not permitted to misuse generative AI in any manner that compromises academic integrity or originality.
    · If AI tools are used in the preparation of the article, their use must be properly acknowledged and clearly incorporated into the content.
    · The article has not been previously published, nor it is not in the consideration process in another journal/publication.

If authors fail to comply with any of the above requirements, the EECME Committee reserves the right to reject the paper without further review.

 

CONFERENCE MATERIALS

Following the EECME conference, accepted articles will be published in one of the following:

- AIJES journal (ERIH PLUS, CEEOLDOAJEZBEconstorIndex Copernicus,  WorldcatEconBizCOBIB.SIScipioMIAR, Category A in ANVUR, Category B+ in CNCSIS2011), or

- AIJJS journal (EBSCO, JournalTOCs, Stanford Libraries, vLex International Law, High Court of Delhi, HeinOnline, Worldcat), or

- the EECME Conference Proceedings.

Final publication decisions will be made by the Scientific Committee and/or Editorial Board after the blind review process, taking into account the academic focus and the overall quality of the submitted articles.

 The publication of articles is free of charge.

IMPORTANT DATES and NOTES

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: February 8, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance and Invitation to Submit Full Articles by: February 28, 2026
  • Full Article Submission Deadline: April 12, 2026
  • Review Results Announcement: May 15, 2026
  • Participant Registration Deadline (for both active participants and attendees without articles): May 18, 2026
  • Conference Date: May 21, 2026 (Hybrid Format)
  • Final Article Submission Deadline (with revisions): June 1, 2026
  • Publication of Articles in Proceedings/Journals: July 2026.

Authors are encouraged to submit their articles as early as possible to ensure a timely, efficient, and high-quality review process. Submitting articles close to the deadline may result in longer review times due to the increased volume of submissions typically received during that period.
